Task 2: Artistic Intention. Ideas ideas ideas!

Assessment Criteria

Ci: outline a clear and feasible artistic intention

When you have decided a final idea you have to produce your Artistic Intention- which outlines your final vision for your Radio Play.

Please write a paragraph or two explaining your intention for this performance. You should think about the following:

• Who your audience is- what age?

• Which book you have chosen and why?

• What sound effects could you use and for what reason? Explain yourself clearly here with 2 or 3 examples.

• What voices are you using? Think about tone, pitch, pace and rhythm. Relate to the characters you will include in your Radio Play

• What music could you use and why? Give 2 examples


Answers


Audience: Primary school children and young kids


Book: Jack and the beanstalk 


Sound effects: Bird chirping, people talking / walking / Fast cars


Voices: Voices of Jack working shouting, Jack selling and giving service


Music: Sad music, Happy music. Sad when its not a good day for him and happy when he is happy
