E.G. BLOG POST TITLE: DRAMA- RADIO Drama- - TASK 1: Brainstorming ideas - Knowledge & Understanding -1st October 2020
Assessment Criteria
Aii: demonstrate knowledge of the role of the art form in original or displaced contexts. Creating a performance of a children’s book by yourself.
You are being asked to create a ‘radio performance’ of a children’s book complete with sound effects and appropriate music. These performances will be sent to a EISJ primary class to enjoy. If you can, use video editing apps or podcast apps to help you layer your performance. However, you can just as easily create a performance using your phone and get creative with props (found in your home) for sound effects!
Task 1: Brainstorming ideas - Knowledge & Understanding
Brainstorms ideas of existing children’s books/tales you could use. Start by highlighting the key aspects of the story you want to focus on for your Radio Play.
Assessment Criteria
Aii: demonstrate knowledge of the role of the art form in original or displaced contexts. Creating a performance of a children’s book by yourself.
Using the Example of Three Little Pigs, you could:
A) List the key areas of the story you will share to the audience OR
B) Your version could tell the story from the perspective (point of view) of the wolf who feels he was misunderstood and the pigs in fact were being mean to him. All he wanted was to make friends in the new neighbor he moved to.
Both ideas will show knowledge of the art form (story) B is a spin on the original version showing knowledge of the old to create a new idea! (Aii)
