What is visual texture? : Texture is the perceived surface quality of a work of art. It is an element of two-dimensional and three-dimensions.
Why does an artist use visual texture? :Because it feels like you can touch it and experience it and know the art work.
What is a rubbing? :You rub the painting to add shading or make the painting darker.
How did you do it? :You rub your finger on the pastel/pencil.

Van gogh made this painting look windy and curvy.
